Duane’s Floor Covering was started in 1971, by my parents, Duane and Nancy York. It was located in their basement. They worked hard to build a respected business. In 2009, myself Duane York II (known as DJ York) and my wife Janet York, took over the business. At that time we purchased our first uptown location. After much growth we had to move to our much larger location at 10 1st Ave. NW in 2013.

 Duane’s Floor Covering has a warm, welcoming retail store with a large showroom with the “Red Carpet” treatment for our customers. Everyone can come and browse all the latest styles of carpet, tile, vinyl, wood flooring from the top of the line products like Congoleum, Shaw, Mohawk and Johnson Hardwood, names that people can trust. Duane’s Floor Covering has a large inventory of “in stock” flooring to choose from. Duane’s Floor Covering sells, services and installs all flooring products. Everything from residential to large commercial and custom tile work. Have your own installer, no problem, bring them with you to shop. Duane’s Floor Covering also stocks all the materials your installer will need to get your job done right.

Janet and I would like to thank all of our royal customers that we have had over the years. We take great pride in our work. I love what we do and can only hope that this family business will be passed down for generations to come. Our children, Michael, Mali and Myles already help anyway they can and we know they too will continue the “Red Carpet” treatment.
